WGTN: Part 2 KICKSTARTER: Padded Stool

Saturday 19 September 2020
10:00 AM - 04:00 PM
PART 2 Padded Stool

In this essential follow-up workshop you'll continue to add to the skills learnt in the first upholstery workshop, Part 1 Footstool.

This time you'll learn a new set of skills which you can 'mix-and-match' when you start to upholster your first simple armchair.

The first half of the day you'll prepare and sew your fabric. Then you'll work on the top of the seat, using techniques similar to those of dining chairs, headboards and the seats of some armchairs/couches.

The second half of the day you'll be working around the sides. You'll learn techniques that are often used on outside panels of armchairs and couches.

Held in Shelly Bay, Wellington.
