What size tack should I use? 10mm is for delicate work and fine fabrics. 13mm is for general tacking of fabric and linings. 15mm is for heavy hessian linings and webbing. 20mm is also for webbing. 25-30mm has limited use, but good when there is very thick layers of leather or padding.
Steel or Zinc? Steel tacks are commonly used in upholstery work, but zinc tacks are galvanised which slow down corrosion.
